The hardest thing about this business that we call film is actually getting a break. It doesn't matter if you are an actor, producer, writer, director, editor, camera person, make-up artist, whatever. You may have the most amazing script, the most fantastic producing head on your shoulders, the greatest directorial talent and an acting range worthy of any award on the planet. It's all good and well, but how the hell do you get yourself OUT THERE.

Now, I am being thrust out of ‘Eden’ into the big bad world with the ‘FILM MAKER’ label. But wait… I have to ‘earn’ the title!

Big Stars = Big Bucks? Possibly Not
Director's Blog
By Paul Heath
We talked last week about how important a film's title was to an overall box-office take, and argued that the title had to be somewhat inviting and relevant to the flick's subject matter, but how about the cast? How important is it to have a 'name' attached to a project? We all know that the likes of Will Smith, Tom Cruise or even Ben Stiller guarantee to get bums on seats, but how important is a name for a movie's success in reality?
