The India Event - A Celebration of Work by Young Indian Filmmakers
Events Archive
Sunday, 02 March 2008

As a dedicated International film student website, we aim to hold two events a year. Each event will focus on a different country’s student filmmakers. They are free to enter.

We are organising these events to celebrate and promote, on our worldwide websites – the work of young filmmakers and their countries of origin. It will give film students and film tutors from other countries, as well as the film industry in general, a chance to see the quality of the work that is being produced around  the world .

The Young Indian Filmmakers event is the first such event that www.thereelshow.biz is organising

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU HAVE REGISTERED AND YOUR  FILM HAS BEEN POSTED ON THE SITE.

If your film is a graduation film it is automatically entered into The Reelshow.biz monthly grad film competition. If your film is a portfolio film it is put into the portfolio section. If you get the most hits in a month for your film, the news is posted on the homepage.

After the deadline for entry – 31 December 2007 – all the films entering the India Event will be posted in a dedicated viewing room for a month. At the start of the month all the hits on these films will be zeroed.

DEPENDING ON THE RESPONSE – HOW MANY FILMS ENTERED.

If, after the dead line 31 December 2007, we find the response to the event has been limited then the hits, on the films entered, will be counted at the end of January. The three films with the most hits will then be voted on by the whole of The reelshow.biz membership and a winner elected. There will be an award for the winner and as much publicity as we can muster. If we get a really good response then the event will become a Film Festival and all entrants will be notified to the running order and prizes, as soon as the decision is made.
