Film Submission, Eligibility and Upload Instructions

You need to be a registered Reelshow member to upload your film/s to the Reelshow site.For more info about the site and to see if you are eligible to upload a film  please check our FAQs.

Current film students, film/media graduates from 2009 onwards (2012) and film schools on behalf of a school student production team can upload films to the Reelshow.If you are a film school representative uploading your students' work, please provide as many production values as possible on the submission form. We are an international site so films are welcome from all over the world..

 If you are a member, login, if you are not a member, please Register (its all free), then login.

YOU NEED TO BE LOGGED IN TO COMPLETE A FILM SUBMISSION FORM AND TO UPLOAD YOUR FILM.

Before you upload your film  you need to fill out a Film Submission Form, here is how you do it....

After login click here ENTER YOUR FILM DETAILS-the form is as detailed as you want it to be ( some of it is obligatory) - giving you the chance to name your production team, upload an image/poster and describe your film..

Film Upload to the Reelshow Server:

When you have completed your form, click Submit at the bottom and you are automatically taken to the film upload page. Please note: We have a film file maximum of 500MB for uploads to our server.

PLEASE ALSO NOTE: When you click through to the upload page a dialog will immediately be presented asking you to confirm that you trust the certificate used to sign the applet. You MUST accept this dialog for the uploader to work. Depending on your operating system and browser, click on RUN or TRUST.

If you have already submitted your film details and want to upload to our server at a  later date - when you are ready login and you can proceed to the UPLOAD PAGE directly.

Film Upload via You Tube or Vimeo:

Follow the instructions above as far as completing the film submission form and clicking submit when finished. Then ignore the upload page and SEND US using this Contact form, your You Tube or Vimeo link to your film.

We will be in contact with you as soon as possible to let you know your film is up on the site or if there are issues. Any problems or concerns Contact Us. We are based in Europe so we might be on a different time zone to you.

About our streaming host:
We use Bits on the Run to host all the films that are uploaded to the Reelshow sites ( either by uploading to our server direct or giving us your You tube/Vimeo link). We use Secure video adaptive streaming RTMPe. Adaptive streaming auto selects the best video quality for each viewer and adds additional security encryption.
Films hosted by us cannot be downloaded or embedded from our sites but can be shared (linked) to facebook and twitter.
